well i voted straight buklod because they redefined activism. yknow, its not all about the street rallies and stuff. we do our jobs as citizens. we do not argue with the government, we do our part. we work hand in hand with the government, but we do not cheat of course. :) say no to corruption.
well too much for that.
anyway, 3 hours ago I watched 5 film showings (which were pinoy indie films all directed by MILO TOLENTINO) at the NCAS auditorium. heck, yeah! i enjoyed each film! my php 55 was so worth it. the payment was even cheap i guess. :)
the 5 films were:
a.) SA KANLUNGAN NG IMPYERNO - this one's great. this is a story about a young girl and her kid nephew (who doesnt speak much). she was the one to take care of her nephew because her sister drowned on impyerno (it's a lake. where many people die). then her brother-in-law abuses her nephew by sticking the cigarette on the kid's skin. she always take her nephew to her friend's house so she could play and go to school. then one day the girl saw her bro-in-law taking drugs, and then she was raped in the end, leaving her nephew to take care of her. they just switched places i guess. pretty good story! here's a video if you're interested (the original film is 29 minutes. this is just a preview):
b.) APAK - in english, barefeet. this is about a boy who doesnt wear slippers, but he wanted to play tumbang preso with the other kids. he got himself a slipper (an improvised one). in the end, he was beaten up by his mother with slippers. here's the video. it's really cool. i pity the kid.
c.) BUOG - this one is sooo cool!!! this one is quite a suspense. this is about a boy who's abused by his dad (i think). one day he was abused pretty hard. he was beaten up so hard that he got weak. he ran away from home and while he was on the run, he fell on the ground. then he woke up and ran again. he found a place where a ghost boy stays. they became friends. then there was this room that in which the boy wanted to enter. the ghost boy didnt want him to go there. when a man entered that room, he panicked and ran away. the ghost boy invited him to play somewhere else so he could forget about the room. then they played and played. the boy then began to think of going home. the ghost boy didnt want him to leave. as the boy ran away, he was constantly being led back to the house where the ghost boy lives. then he entered the room. he saw his dead body there. so, patay na pala siya. aww..such a sad ending.
d.) SI PEPE AT ANG MGA BULAKLAK - about a boy who loves flowers. he was being teased as 'gay' by his friends. but the reason why he loves flowers is because his late mom makes him garlands before. he puts all the flowers he gathered and puts them on a table where his mom's picture is displayed. how cute. no youtube video though.
e.) SI ANDONG - the best one!!!! it's a comedy. andong wants a colored tv (with cable). he goes to the other side of his barangay just to watch tv. then he heard about the raffle draw wherein the first prize is a colored TV! but the ticket price is php20 and he doesnt have any money. his mom wouldnt give him money because they were poor. so andong went to the place where his mom works (on smokey mountains) and collected trash for php20. then when he was about to buy a ticket, his younger brother, whom he takes with him wherever he goes and when he worked for that php20, asked him to buy this necklace that he loves. it was worth php15. if he bought some, he would have no more money for a ticket. he would have no tv. when he decided to buy a lollipop instead, his brother got sad and went away. he stayed in front of the necklace, admiring it. andong pitied his brother so he bought the necklace nalang. so sweet. then in the end they planned to just continue persuading their mother to give them 20 pesos. XD the trailer is on youtube. but i hate it so i wont put it here. the trailer on youtube makes it seem like a horror film, when actually it's a comedy.

tiring tuesday
im hackin tired.
this morning when i woke up, i was still in cavite. then i traveled all the way UP here! and then one of my professors rode the same jeepney i was in. i dont know. i feel awkward everytime those things happen...
i arrived here at about 11 o'clock. i checked my things here at my room (dorm), and set up this pretty laptop <3. it's a simple kind of laptop, but im really thankful ive been given one. anyway, then there i finally got internet access. i ate lunch and headed for my eng1 class.
gah, my day was just so boring, and i was just so hungry for meat and all. you know, i only eat veggies here because im concerned about my health. i always eat instant pancit and noodles, and i dont want to die without having to graduate and experience a lot of things. haha..but you know im ready to die anytime. aside from that, i consider this 'fasting' from foods that i like. even a diet. but more like fasting because when im on a diet, i break it early. then i gain more weight. it's called the yoyo effect.
then i went to philo1 class, then to the hackin far bahay ng pahinungod for the lts1 class (nstp). i really hate walking that far. it's like going to pluto or something. really tiring. then when i get there im freakin gasping for freaking air.
but i enjoyed the class, especially the when i learned new techniques for teaching children.
anyway..you know the BUKLOD group about the 1984 (am i right) constitution? yeah, theyre gonna legalize it. it's a long explanation. but what i want to say is about the activism of people. they said we also have to vote as activists (me? nah), and activists are not only seen on streets. they vote. i think they have a point you know. before we complain about our officers or government officials, we have to vote! we dont just complain and join whatever rally..we have to do our part as filipino citizens.
and this poverty we're in, i believe that not only the government is at fault. we have our part of the 'fault'. that's my opinion.
and remember, God chose our authorities today. we have to submit to them unless what theyre requiring us to do is a sin against God. submit for God said so. :]
